The Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) is Open For Business!!! We have launched our new Procurement Transformation Initiative, which focuses on transparency, accountability, and productivity in the District’s procurement process. Our goal is to let every citizen know how their tax dollars are being spent and to inform vendors about the process for doing business with the District government.
OCP awards and administers a wide variety of contracts for goods and services in support of the missions of District agencies. Our web site includes helpful information and features, such as:
- live online broadcasts of District Bid Openings;
- current solicitations of District government contracts;
- access to previously awarded contracts;
- an interactive Vendor Portal specifically designed for our business community;
- links to other helpful topics;
- and much more.
There are three steps vendors can take in order to do business with the District:
- Register with OCP
- Become certified as a CBE-Certified Business Enterprise (local businesses only); and
- Get on the DC Supply Schedule (CBEs only).
As we continue to strive to transform OCP into a world-class agency, we will provide updates on our transformation initiatives via our website. It is our goal to identify and utilize best procurement practices and techniques to enhance the way we do business.
